New changes

At the last meeting it was agreed to change the format of out group, it has become increasingly difficult for people to attend monthly meetings and we have had a lot of calls from people who are interested in support but can't attend. Therefore we have changed to a Support Network. The main of this will be run from a new Facebook page here : Kilkenny-ASD-Families-Network

AUTISM HANGOUT is an online discussion forum that reports news, complies facts and community-submitted personal experiences and invites ongoing discussion to discover insights on how best to deal with the daily challenges of autism.

Wrong Planet -

Wrong Planet is the web community designed for individuals (and parents / professionals of those) with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, PDDs, and other neurological differences. We provide a discussion forum, where members communicate with each other, an article section, with exclusive articles and how-to guides, a blogging feature, and a chatroom for real-time communication with other Aspies.

Autism Support Ireland -

Autism Support Ireland is a coordinated initiative which aims to enhance and support the whole person and family affected by Autism by providing access to information.

Therapics

Therapics offers a range of visual aids and ABA therapy materials designed to help children on the autism spectrum learn and develop through fun games and activities. These educational materials are great for kids with Autism, PDD-Nos, Aspergers as well as speech delay or other developmental delays. They are helpful teaching resources for parents, therapists and teachers.

About A.S.K

We are a group of parents who all have one thing in common; we have children who have either already been diagnosed or are in the process of being diagnosed with Autism, Aspergers, High functioning Autism or any other disorder on the Autism spectrum. We met at locally run workshops, where we identified that there is a wealth of information that could be shared between families; simple advice and tips which could make significant changes to daily living in those families. Our Objective Is very simply to provide support and somewhere parents can get together to chat, to share frustrations, coping strategies, or simply to lend an ear. We meet once a month at James Stephens GAA Club in Kilkenny and we want you to know you are not alone, so come along for a cuppa and a chat amongst friends.
